Congo Initiative: Material for one woman to learn how to sew
$10
Congo Initiative (CI) is a global fellowship led by Congolese vision and united for the transformation of lives and communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). CI educates ethical leaders, invests in a sustainable vibrant Congolese society, and develops grassroots initiatives for peace, hope, and justice. Long-term cycles of conflict, poverty, and illness continue to plague Congo. Just over the past two years, over 2,000 people have been killed and hundreds of thousands displaced due to armed conflict. Children and women are disproportionately affected by these realities, often facing barriers to education and resources needed to break cycles of violence and poverty.
We work to break these barriers through formal and informal education. Through primary education, children learn to see a future full of hope. Through vocational training and counseling, women find ways to heal and improve their livelihoods. Through transformative higher education, women are equipped to become the leaders their country desperately needs.
$10 provides the material for one woman to learn to sew.
