Harbor House Ministries: Support teen interns in youth leadership development programs

Harbor House is a Christian community development organization that serves children and families in the San Antonio neighborhood of Oakland. We seek to provide a safe place for opportunities, resources, and relationships to be shared so that all families in Oakland can flourish. Our programs are Christ-centered, relational, and empowering, and they focus on the education, leadership development, spiritual formation, and health of our community.
Our Youth
Leadership Program (YLP) offers high school students an opportunity to become community leaders by gaining hands-on work experience. YLP interns tutor and mentor the elementary children in our after-school program and participate in leadership development seminars. In addition to gaining new friendships and tools for future success, each intern receives a $500 stipend from Harbor House for successfully completing a semester of the internship.
Gifts given through Gift World will support teens in our Youth Leadership Development Programs.
