MISSSEY (MOTIVATING, INSPIRING, SUPPORTING, AND SERVING SEXUALLY EXPLOITED YOUTH)
MISSSEY is an Oakland nonprofit that envisions a world where no young person is bought, sold, and exploited. MISSSEY provides services to commercially sexually exploited youth in our community and works for systemic change. Many that we serve are victims and survivors of multiple human rights abuses. Through MISSSEY, they receive nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and healing-centered services provided by staff with cultural humility, compassion, and relevant life experience. Through our services, we help support these resilient young women, spread awareness about this terrible epidemic, and prevent future exploitation.
